The Driftwood Cafe is a family friendly, cozy, homestyle cafe, specializing in delicious and creative breakfast and lunch items. We pride ourselves on a special breakfast experience with omelets, eggs Benedict, potato pancakes, waffles, and of course, our “to die for” locally roasted coffee.

For lunch, enjoy one of our mouthwatering sandwiches, burgers, fish tacos, fresh salads, and homemade soups. And for breakfast or lunch we offer a delicious selection of vegetarian options, great wine, beer and specialty drinks.
History
The Driftwood Cafe first opened its doors in 1964, adjoined to the Tahoe Driftwood Lodge. The Tahoe Driftwood Lodge, was one of several area resort and hotel properties that opened following the 1960 Winter Olympics, held at the former Squaw Valley Ski Resort - now Palisades Tahoe.
In the fall of 2006, a redevelopment project forced the demolition of the original building. In February of 2007 the cafe moved to its current location in Heavenly Village. Driftwood Cafe celebrates more that 60 years in South Lake Tahoe!
Driftwood Cafe is truly a special place, and to this day still embodies its original motto, "For Locals & Other Special People".
